Yesterday I happened to meet one of my new friend, and he asked me "Are you Happy"?
This was not a casual meeting but he wanted to meet me and talk to me on this topic from quite sometime. So it happened yesterday.
This is the first time in my 28 and half years that somebody has asked me this question.
This question made me really think ....Am I happy? What things make me happy , what makes me sad and how can those sad moments could be turned into happy moments.
My answer to him was I'm a 70 % happy person and 30 % Sad.
Fast comes the next question, what is the 30 % which makes you sad.
I thought its so many things when I think about them makes me sad.
There is my past, present and future.
Past:
There were somethings in the past which makes me sad thinking about them, but you can't go back in the past and change the past and those happenings.
Because of that past only your present is like this...its good or bad we have to decide and then either continue the same life or your have the full chance or the oppourtinity to make it better or worse.
Whatever your past is ,is beacuse of your Karma or because of your previous life but somewhere you have to take control of your life and improwise on it to make a good life and better karma for your next life.
This song from "3 Idiots", fits the scenario here:
Give me some sunshine,
Give me some rain,
Give me another chance,
I wanna grow up again...
But if each one of us get's the chance to grow up again all of us will want to go and re-live our past :-)
Present:
You just have the present moment. It depends on you how you want to spend it.So spend it wisely.Don't let it slip thinking and regretting about your past or worrying about the future.
Its the only cash you have, spend it as you spend your money.
Future:
No one knows whats in store in your future.Even if the astrologer tells your future, you can't change it, so why worry and spoil the present moment for this which is just slipping away from you.
The gist is live happily or atleast give it a try ...it can't be very hard to be happy which is the way nature wanted us to be.
